It is convention that an initiated Guzmer member will verbally say "Guzbye" or "Guznight" before leaving voice chat.

Spelling

As it is purely a verbal colloquialism, the spelling is contended. Some variations of the farewells' spelling include:

  • Goosbye
  • Goozbye
  • Guzbye
  • Gooznight
  • Goosnight
  • Guznight

Origin

Requires revision Term originates from a game of Quiplash that Josh played with his Waukesha friends, in which his friend (who?) submitted the answer "Goosbye" in response to a prompt. The phrase made its way into the Discord and quickly became a regular departure.
