Gerald is one of two baby rats Cory adopted from an animal rescue late September 2019. Gerald was adopted with his presumed brother, Neil. His name comes from a lyric in Pink Floyd's Bike. The Guzmer crew has endearingly nicknamed him Gay Rat Jerry.
Appearance
Gerald is what is called a "rex rat." As such, his fur and even his whiskers are wavy and curly. His fur is mostly black, but not quite as dark as his brother Neil. The tip of his tail is white.
Personality and Behavior
Gerald is an expert nest builder and is always quick to gather newspaper pieces to place around the various hammocks in his cage. He is also very social and has no problem with meeting new people. He has a tendency to urinate when being handled. He likes to groom everyone he meets.
