Gerald was one of two baby rats Cory adopted from an animal rescue late September 2019. Gerald was adopted with his presumed brother, Neil. His name comes from a lyric in Pink Floyd's Bike. The Guzmer crew has endearingly nicknamed him Gay Rat Jerry. He was an enemy of the state.
Appearance
Gerald was what is called a "rex rat." As such, his fur and even his whiskers were wavy and curly. His fur was mostly black, but not quite as dark as his brother Neil. The tip of his tail was white.
Personality and Behavior
Gerald was an expert nest builder and was always quick to gather newspaper pieces to place around the various hammocks in his cage. He was also very social and had no problem with meeting new people. He had a tendency to urinate when being handled. He liked to groom everyone he met.

Gerald was (and is) a Guzmer icon. So naturally he has his own card. Introduced in Gen 1, the card plays into his nickname and features Gerald in front of a pride flag. Hutno practiced drawing a rat on the botched Bon card before drawing this one.
