AMC is a chain of movie theaters that prides itself on having uncomfortable seats, kiosks with broken ticket scanners, and no air conditioning. Like a carnival, going to one seems like a good idea, but you always end up getting ripped off.

Recollections from Alyssa

One time Josh, Cory, Katie, and I went to see the Incredibles 2 and the air condition was out and we had to sit next to smelly kids. The Pixar short was "Bao" and I was crying super hard next to a small child and had to keep it together. In the end we all got free movie tickets. Cory and Josh threw theirs away. Katie and I kept them and went to see Venom a few months later. I don't remember if Venom was a good movie.
